About us

"Golden Ratio Art & Tea Room" is a gallery opened in The Hague in October 2025. It is an international art space dedicated to representing Baltic and European art in a contemporary, thoughtfully curated environment. Right in the heart of the city, the gallery continues the vision of its sister gallery, "Art Platz" in Riga: creating meaningful connections between artists, visitors, and the cultural heritage of the Baltic region.

The gallery showcases both modern and contemporary Latvian art, featuring works by Valdis Bušs, Kārlis Dobrājs, Herberts Siliņš, Zigmunds Šņore, Dmitry Lavrentjev, Kalvis Zālitis, and other leading artists whose practices span lyrical abstraction, expressive modernism, and refined contemporary painting. Alongside these creators, Golden Ratio collaborates with selected European artists, strengthening cultural ties between Baltic states, the Netherlands, and the wider international art community.

A distinctive feature of the gallery is its presentation of highlights from the founders’ private collection — museum-quality works by Baltic masters of the 20th century, including Jānis Pauļuks, Leo Svemps, Konstantin Vysotsky and many other key figures who shaped the region's visual language. Through research, conservation efforts, and long-term collaboration with artist families and estates, the gallery works to preserve and celebrate the legacy of Baltic art.

The gallery also embraces digital innovation through the Art Platz Online Auction platform and curated digital projects, giving collectors worldwide transparent access to artworks, provenance details, and expert insights.

Complementing its exhibitions, Golden Ratio hosts thematic events, artist talks, tea tastings, and cultural programmes that reflect the founders’ belief in the harmony between fine art and the ritual of tea. The space includes a tearoom featuring signature blends from Art of Tea, offering visitors a unique gallery experience at the crossroads of visual and sensory culture.
